Ingredients:
Spareribs or Beef Ribs
1 med. chopped onion
1 chopped green pepper
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce with tomato bits
1/4 c. vinegar
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. pineapple juice
Method:
- In saucepan combine all ingredients except meat. Simmer 20 minutes. Brown spareribs in large skillet (no flour). Add water.
- Pour BBQ sauce over ribs. Keep basting. Simmer until done.
Recipe for Grill:
- Grill ribs 4" from coals 30 minutes. Baste ribs with BBQ sauce. Cook 20 minutes longer.
- Add sliced pineapple to grill last 5 minutes of cooking time. Reheat rest of sauce.
- Serve over pineapple topped ribs.
